Trinity Rail is hiring a 2nd shift Career NDT Quality Inspector at our Jonesboro, AR plant.

As an NDT Quality Inspector at Trinity, you’ll make visual and measured inspection/tests of materials/ products to ensure conformance with standards and determine if product meets all requirements. Complete inspection records and reports and follow appropriate codes and regulations.

 

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Makes visual and measured inspection of products the majority of the time to ensure conformance with standards and determines if product meets all requirements
  • May inspect incoming materials, outgoing materials, or products or assemblies throughout the manufacturing process
  • May apply singular or multiple inspection processes using various appropriate NDE methods
  • Able to maintain, adjust or calibrate inspection equipment
  • Completes inspection records and reports
  • Familiar with appropriate codes, regulations, applicable procedures & standards
  • Follows all safety rules and practices
  • May be involved in safety committees or CI initiatives
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • For new hires previous work experience and/or certifications may be considered for the corresponding job level position
  • Basic knowledge of inspection tools and measuring equipment
  • Basic knowledge of operational function to be inspected
  • Ability to achieve appropriate NDE certifications within 6 months
  • Proficient in the use of inspection tolls and measuring equipment
  • Understands and applies quality science and tools
  • Certified to conduct and approve 2 or more NDE method (such as bubble leak, dye penetrant, ultrasound)
  • May work under supervision of Level II or Level III Certified NDT inspector

What you’ll need:

  • Typically has 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Safely and efficiently performs all essential functions of the job.
