Trinity Rail is hiring a 2nd shift Career Track Crew Operator at our Jonesboro plant.

This position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who does not stray away from a challenge. As a member of the Track Crew at Trinity, you will perform activities related to processing, receiving, recording, storing, and/or shipping of raw materials/finished goods. Operate mobile equipment (heavy equipment, forklift, cranes, yard vehicle, lift truck) to move rail cars and materials/products between warehouse/manufacturing facilities. May utilize computer software to identify materials/goods, ensure accuracy of purchase orders and maintain inventory.

 

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Operates mobile equipment such as lift trucks, overhead cranes, track mobiles/switch engine and/or yard vehicles in order to move materials, cars, and products between workstations and/or receiving and storage locations
  • Ensures proper identification of parts and materials
  • Follows all safety rules and practices
  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Operate a lift truck with over 15,000 pound capacity
  • Operate overhead crane (stationary) certified (move across plant)
  • Operate mobile crane (move across yard)
  • Operate or act as ground crew for track mobile and/or switch engine
  • Operate scissor lift
  • Follow all safety rules and practices
  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

 

  • Minimum 1-2 years related experience
  • Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment is beneficial
