This role will be based in our Dallas, TX office and will report to the Senior Vice President, Technical Services & Quality. As an embedded partner to the business, this position will drive data-informed decision-making across assigned functional areas by translating complex data insights into actionable strategies — and by actively leveraging artificial intelligence to accelerate and elevate the quality of those insights.
This role requires a collaborative, analytically minded professional who can engage at all levels of the organization — from front-line teams to senior leadership — and influence outcomes through data storytelling, strategic thinking, and trusted partnership. A genuine enthusiasm for AI tools and an eagerness to apply emerging capabilities to real business problems are essential to success in this role.
What You'll Do:
- Serve as the primary data and analytics liaison for assigned business units, building deep understanding of their goals, challenges, and decision-making processes.
- Translate business questions into analytical problems, partnering with data engineering and analytics teams to deliver timely, accurate, and relevant insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and self-service tools that empower business stakeholders to access and interpret data independently.
- Proactively identify opportunities where data, analytics, and AI can drive operational efficiency, revenue growth, or risk reduction within supported functions.
- Lead requirements gathering sessions with business leaders, ensuring analytics and AI-powered deliverables align with strategic priorities and measurable outcomes.
- Champion data and AI literacy across the organization by coaching business users on data interpretation, quality standards, responsible AI use, and best practices.
- Actively explore, evaluate, and pilot AI tools — including large language models, generative AI, and machine learning solutions — to enhance the speed, depth, and accessibility of business insights.
Analytics Partnership
- Act as a trusted advisor to functional leaders, providing data-driven perspectives to inform planning, forecasting, and performance management.
- Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to prioritize the analytics roadmap based on business value and urgency, incorporating AI-powered capabilities where appropriate.
- Facilitate regular business reviews using data insights to track KPIs, highlight trends, and surface actionable recommendations.
- Ensure analytics solutions are fit-for-purpose, user-friendly, and aligned to the business unit's workflows and reporting cadence.
- Identify and implement AI-assisted workflows that reduce manual effort and improve decision cycle times for business partners.
AI Enablement & Innovation
- Serve as an internal advocate and early adopter of AI tools, staying current on emerging technologies and identifying practical applications within the business.
- Partner with IT, data engineering, and business leaders to assess, deploy, and scale AI solutions that address high-impact business problems.
- Develop use cases and business cases for AI adoption, clearly articulating expected value, risks, and implementation considerations.
- Promote responsible and ethical use of AI, ensuring transparency, fairness, and alignment with company data governance standards.
Data Governance & Quality
- Partner with the data governance team to ensure business definitions, data standards, and metrics are consistently applied across the organization.
- Advocate for data quality improvements by identifying gaps, inconsistencies, or limitations in source data and escalating appropriately.
- Support the development and adoption of a common data dictionary and business glossary within assigned functional areas.
Insight Communication & Storytelling
- Present complex analytical findings — including AI-generated insights — to non-technical audiences in a clear, compelling, and decision-ready format.
- Develop executive-level summaries and presentations that synthesize data insights into strategic narratives.
- Maintain a feedback loop with stakeholders to continuously refine and improve the relevance and usability of data and AI-powered products.
What You'll Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Master's degree (MBA, MS Analytics, or equivalent) preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a data analytics, business intelligence, or data strategy role, with at least 2 years in a business-facing or partnership capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into analytical requirements and deliver insights that drive measurable outcomes.
- High interest in and working knowledge of AI technologies, including generative AI, large language models, and machine learning applications in a business context.
- Hands-on experience using AI-powered tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to accelerate analysis, automate workflows, or enhance business communications.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and experience building executive-level dashboards and reports.
- Working knowledge of SQL; familiarity with Python or R is a plus.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and master data concepts.
- Experience operating in a matrixed environment requiring cross-functional collaboration and influence without direct authority.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated curiosity and a continuous learning mindset, particularly around emerging data and AI technologies.
- Results-oriented with strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
