- A college graduate with a B.S. degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering is required.
- A professional license (P.E.) in Mechanical or Civil Engineering is desired or obtainable.
- Design experience in multiple engineering disciplines (structural, electrical, hydraulics) is desired.
- Experience in initiating and completing engineering design projects, as well as performing field engineering and customer interaction is desired.
- Knowledge and experience with electromechanical systems is desired.
- Computer skills required: a solid working knowledge of solid modeling software (for example Autodesk Inventor) Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) and Adobe PDF Acrobat.
- Experience with FEA software, such as ANSYS, is also desired.
- Ability to inspect and troubleshoot mechanical systems and crash test articles outside in all types of weather.
- Ability to communicate effectively in group presentations
- Predictable and reliable attendance
