RSI Logistics, recently acquired by Trinity Industries Inc., is looking for an Asset Data Coordinator. The Asset Data Coordinator’s primary objective is to maintain accurate and updated lease car and contract data within applicable systems to ensure accurate fleet management and invoice validation processes. On an ongoing basis, maintain and update accurate contract information regarding car mechanical specifications, lease rate and contract expiration dates.
The Asset Data Coordinator will interact directly with the client, railcar owners, and other RSI personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works in partnership with client to maintain an accurate asset list in the systems/tools provided by the client. This could include managing the asset list in multiple systems, with recurring audits to ensure all systems remain synchronized
- Ensure railcar lease and rider information, including the lease rate, is up to date in the database. This may require reaching out to key contacts in advance of expiration dates to be sure the data is available to be updated prior to expiration
- Continuous review of equipment list is necessary to be sure the database is up to date as soon as a railcar is added or removed from service
- Perform recurring audits on the railcar mechanical specs for accuracy
- As needed, assist with troubleshooting railcar lease invoices that differ from the database. This must be done in a timely manner in order to maintain good standing with railcar owners
- Establish relationships with client and car owners
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in rail operations or logistics coordination
- Bachelor's degree in logistics supply chain management preferred
- System savvy (prior ERP experience or Rail TMS experience highly preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
