Trinity Industries is searching for a talented team player to fill the open position of Business Analyst, Manufacturing Technology in our Dallas, Texas office.

The Business Analyst – Manufacturing Technology bridges business goals with technology solutions and enhances manufacturing efficiency and competitiveness. This role will analyze operations, implement new systems, and collaborate with teams to ensure technology aligns with company objectives

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders from operations, engineering, IT, supply chain, and quality assurance to understand business processes and elicit, define, and analyze business requirements
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and data analysis to understand current processes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
  • Analyze and map end-to-end manufacturing processes, identify gaps, inefficiencies, and potential areas for automation or digital transformation
  • Translate complex business needs into clear functional and technical specifications to provide technical teams
  • Identify opportunities for business process improvement and be a driver for change as needed

What you’ll need:

  • BA/BS is in related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years prior experience in industrial engineering, information technology, manufacturing, or job-related field
  • Prior experience utilizing manufacturing technologies such as MES, ERP, WMS, SCADA, IIoT or other systems/automation tools
  • Must have solid understanding of manufacturing systems, digital transformation trends, and emerging technologies
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actional business insights
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and intake ideas/feedback from across the organization
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and adapt to changing business needs
