TrinityRail is hiring a Career Detail Specialty on 2nd Shift at our Shell Rock, Iowa plant.
As a member of the Detail Specialty team at Trinity, you’ll prepare and apply detailing with paint, decals, or stencils. You’ll adhere specialized applications to surfaces and using measuring tools. This role requires strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work, along with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with technology systems, including decal printers and ERP systems, to support production and ensure accuracy in work orders and inventory.
What you’ll do:
- Apply decals
- Repair exterior paint
- Operate scissor lift (or scaffold)
- Perform basic exterior touch-up coating using brush or roller
- Use stencils, measuring and leveling tools
- Maintain accurate decal inventory and support forecasting and ordering to ensure materials are available for work orders
- Operate and support use of decal printers and related technology systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to ensure accurate application and placement
- Ensure high-quality standards are met through detailed inspection of completed work
- Follow all safety rules and practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
What you’ll need:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Basic proficiency with technology systems, including ERP systems and shop equipment
