What You'll Do:

  • Lay out, position, align and fit together fabricated parts of metal according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics and sketches in preparation for welding.
  • Tack-weld pieces together.
  • Apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate and repair parts of metal or other weld-able materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints schematics and sketches using manual and/or semi-automatic welding equipment.
  • May lay out and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies.
  • May position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • May inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.
  • Observe all standard safety practices and maintains and completes all required records.
  • Follow all safety rules and practices.
  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Basic welding skill and ability with Mig/Mig Flux Core required
  • Plasma Cutter, Arch Gouging, grinder and blueprint reading experience preferred. 
  • Must be able to work on ladders and scaffolds 
  • Must be able to work in confined areas
  • Must be able to work in hot and cold environments 
  • Must be willing to wear respirator 
  • Must be able to work dayshift Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm and all required overtime to include weekends 




· Proficient at fillet & grove welds

· Proficient at Oxy Fuel Cutting

· Proficient at Carbon Arcing
