Qualifications:

· Ability to obtain Trinity forklift certification

· 2+ years forklift experience

Machines, Tools, Equipment Work Aids Used:  Company car/truck, hand trucks, forklifts, cranes, hand tools, chains, cables, ropes, magnets, pallets, clamps, banding materials, cutters, racks, dockplates, steel bins, yard crane, other mobile equipment.

Primary Work Site: Plant and Yard. Plant - Area covered by a roof. Temperature is not climate-controlled. Yard - Area unprotected from natural elements.

Work Surface: Floor surfaces are generally concrete, gravel, sand and/or dirt. May be uneven and/or have electrical cables, hoses, and railroad tracking throughout various areas.

Hazards: Obstacles on floor or ground to step over or around; overhead cranes; wet or slippery floor surfaces; cuts, bruises and fractures from operating equipment; insect bites if working in railroad yards.

Temperature Factors: Moderate to extreme. Not climate-controlled in plant, subject to natural elements and extreme heat and cold on yards.

Noise factors: Hearing protection required due to exposure to noise levels above 85 decibels. On yard, or dock where documented TWA noise levels are less than 85 decibels, hearing protection not required.

Vibration Factors: Equipment operators subject to frequent significant vibration.

Air Quality Factors: Normal to unfavorable - potential exposure to dust, vapors and/or other air contaminants. Respirator use may be required.

Mental & Visual Effort

High degree of concentration or accurate observation required during operation of vehicles or material handling equipment to prevent potentially fatal injuries or critical damage to products or equipment.
