TrinityRail is searching for a Customer Operations Manager based at the Cartersville, GA campus. The Customer Operations Manager collects inputs from Sales, Customer Delivery Manager, Fleet Manager and Engineering to be packaged together for execution by Operations at a Maintenance facility.
What You'll Do:
· Responsible for managing order intake and preparation.
· Follow the service level commitments as set forth by customer.
· Serve as the point of contact for project preparation.
· Create, review, and deliver all documents prior to order execution.
· Develop standard operating procedures for all customer-facing processes.
· Monitor and report KPIs.
· Participate in weekly calls with corporate regarding plant activity and car flow updates.
· Ensure accurate initial status of cars in Railcar Rx.
· Prepare initial project schedule with milestones and deliver to customer.
· Manage all enroute and inbound inspection processes.
· Manage the Revenue forecasting.
· Supervise 3-10 employees directly.
· Develop alternate method(s) for digitizing car documentation.
· Ability to handle challenging conversations (internally and externally), by creating workable solutions for the Customer and Business
· Be a Change Agent across the team in support of delivering our overall strategic plan.
· Develop core Customer Management skills including rail industry technical acumen.
· Develop strong external relationships enabled through internal collaborative relationships across production, operations, quality and engineering.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Project Management or Engineering or a combination of education and experience.
· 3 or more years in transportation/logistic field
· PMP Certificate preferred.
· Manufacturing and Scheduling experience preferred.
· Experience managing teams.
· Highly functional in all Microsoft Office products
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability and desire to work in a team environment.
· Rail industry background or experience preferred.
· Technical background with manufacturing acumen preferred.
· Strong process, data and problem-solving skills
· High energy and enthusiasm
· Collaborative and accountable style with an ability to build strong partnerships at all levels of the business.
