What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline related to health and safety plus 5+ years related management/supervisory experience. BSc/BA in safety management or relevant field is preferred
  • CSP, ASP, GSP or other recognized equivalent certification preferred or ability to obtain
  • Insure regulatory compliance with Title V Permit
  • Managed National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) air quality activities
  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience working in a chemical, manufacturing or transportation environment in a health and safety capacity
  • Proven experience as safety leader in a multi facility environment with a track record of improving safety culture and results
  • Significant experience with behavioral based safety programs is required.
  • Ability to interface, manage and motivate a diverse workforce to achieve corporate safety objectives
  • Self-starter that works well with minimal supervision
  • Willing and able to travel (35%) to sites located in the U.S. on short notice
  • Effective communicator with the ability to make presentations to corporate staff as well as field personnel
  • Astute understanding of OSHA and other government safety regulations
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Ability to produce reports and develop relevant policies
  • Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
  • Excellent organizational and motivational skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
