What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline related to health and safety plus 5+ years related management/supervisory experience. BSc/BA in safety management or relevant field is preferred
- CSP, ASP, GSP or other recognized equivalent certification preferred or ability to obtain
- Insure regulatory compliance with Title V Permit
- Managed National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) air quality activities
- Minimum of 5-7 years' experience working in a chemical, manufacturing or transportation environment in a health and safety capacity
- Proven experience as safety leader in a multi facility environment with a track record of improving safety culture and results
- Significant experience with behavioral based safety programs is required.
- Ability to interface, manage and motivate a diverse workforce to achieve corporate safety objectives
- Self-starter that works well with minimal supervision
- Willing and able to travel (35%) to sites located in the U.S. on short notice
- Effective communicator with the ability to make presentations to corporate staff as well as field personnel
- Astute understanding of OSHA and other government safety regulations
- Computer proficiency required
- Ability to produce reports and develop relevant policies
- Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
- Excellent organizational and motivational skills
- Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
