What you’ll need:
- Any type of general labor, construction or manufacturing experience
- Ability to learn basic railcar knowledge
- Ability to prepare cars for Touch up or for other surface prep work, including masking of areas needed
- Ability to perform confined space monitoring and create hot work permits
- Ability to do Mechanical/Assembly Repairs to railcars
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Ability to learn basic knowledge of how to read Engineering drawing
- Understand and perform all work outlined under Supervision
- Railcar Experience is a plus
- Ability to pass DOT Requirements, Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record is a plus
- Candidates must be willing to travel and work on MRU projects when needed
- Ability to consistently perform moderate to heavy lifting throughout work day
- Ability to climb, ascend, or descend ladders to move inside and out of railcars
