Entry Welder
Trinity Industries, Inc. is hiring an Entry Welder at our Fort Worth, TX plant.

The Entry Welder position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who does not stray away from a challenge. As a Welder at Trinity, you’ll apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches using manual, automatic welding, and/or semi-automatic welding equipment.
What you’ll do:
- Qualifies as flat and horizontal welder
- SMAW (wire: 1G & 2G)
- Oxy Fuel Burning
- Carbon Arcing,
- Hand weld in all positions, fillet and groove
- May be used for the new hire or trainee who has no experience•
- Requires basic skill, routine tasks and very little training•
- Works on routine manufacturing assignments that have clear goals and standard procedures•
- Receives detailed instructions and close supervision.
- Uses standard approaches•
- Problems are not very complex and do not need a lot of judgment•
- Allows higher levels to handle more complex issues
- Few judgment calls
- Serves as team member
What you'll need:
- Typically has 0 – 1 year(s) of related experience.
- Learns job skills, company policies and processes to do routine tasks•
- Limited or no technical knowledge required•
- Ability to follow verbal or simple written instructions and procedures•
- May need to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.
