Expert Weld Trainer/Tech
TrinityRail Maintenance Services, Inc is searching for a talented team player to fill the open position of Expert Weld Trainer at our Shell Rock, IA facility.
What you'll do:
This position will be expected to be proficient and deliver training for Mechanical, Valve, Cleaning and Coatings departments.
- Facilitate classroom, hands-on, OJT learning for both new and existing employees
- Deliver daily all maintenance training performed at the plant to include; classroom, skills exercises and OJT to effectively measure and track employee progress
- Coach and Train lower level welders
- Make and train welding to stainless and carbon steel
- Train rail car modification and repair procedures
- Perform full welds to subassemblies and to the tank
- Hand weld in all positions, fillet and groove
- Perform carbon arc welding
- Conduct Non-Destructive Testing.
- Follow and train all applicable safety and quality procedures required to perform procedures
- Play an active role in both Safety and Continuous Improvement Committees
- Assist Safety Training Department with Safety Onboarding Training and 29CFR Training.
- Assist the Plant Training Supervisor in developing and improving new and existing training fixtures.
- Conduct ad-hoc training as needed
- Perform other duties as required.
What you need:
- 4 years advanced weld experience required
