- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering preferred or equivalent experience to obtain required knowledge base
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
- Ability to travel is required
- Knowledge of railcar fabrication, maintenance, industry codes, standards and regulations applicable to railcars
- Ability to interpret and evaluate engineering drawings and regulatory codes
- Able to manage and coordinate effective relationships with customers, internal business groups and other entities
- Knowledge of standard office software and data input to information systems
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must maintain regular call reports and data required by support systems
