Trinity Industries is looking for an enthusiastic Internal Communications Summer Intern to join our Communications team and help bring our Core Values campaign to life across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
This is a hands-on opportunity to build your portfolio, sharpen your communication skills, and contribute to a company-wide initiative that celebrates culture, people, and purpose.
What You’ll Do:
- Create engaging content for social media posts that highlight our people and values
- Support internal communications by drafting employee stories, writing intranet content, and helping maintain SharePoint pages
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather insights, shape messaging, and support communications initiatives across multiple regions
- Ensure consistent brand voice by coordinating with team members and aligning messaging across all channels
- Gain real-world experience in strategic communications, campaign planning, and cross-functional collaboration

What We’re Looking For:
Education:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, Mass Communications, Business Communications, Media, Marketing, or a related field
- Ideally a rising Junior or Senior with a strong interest in communications, storytelling, and short-form video creation
Experience (a plus, not required):
- Prior storytelling or writing experience
- Coursework or projects involving communication plans or campaigns
- Experience creating social content or short-form videos (TikTok, Reels, etc.)
Familiarity with SharePoint or internal communication tools is helpful but not required
