IT Asset Program Manager
What You’ll Have:
- BA/BS in computer science, information technology/CIS or related field or equivalent combination of education and
experience required. - 8+ years administering engineering applications (CAD/CAE/PLM or similar) in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM) covering both hardware and software assets.
- Strong Windows workstation administration experience.
- Role-based access control and directory integrations (AD/SSO).
- Server fundamentals, virtualization concepts, and storage/network basics.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally with business and IT stakeholders.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining and governing a CMDB within an ITSM platform (e.g., ServiceNow, Ivanti, JIRA, or similar).
- Experience managing asset lifecycle processes (procurement, deployment, refresh, transfer, retirement).
- Experience performing asset inventory reconciliation (system-of-record vs. physical vs. discovery).
- Experience managing software asset tracking and license reconciliation.
- Working knowledge of asset data standards, CI relationships, and service mapping principles.
- Experience supporting audit readiness and compliance documentation.
- Strong data governance discipline with demonstrated commitment to inventory accuracy.
- Ability to translate policy requirements into operational controls and enforce asset standards across distributed environments.
- Success in this role will be measured by:
- Stability and performance of engineering applications.
- Accuracy and completeness of the IT asset estate within the CMDB.
- Audit readiness and reconciliation accuracy.
- Reduction in unknown, unmanaged, or improperly classified assets.
- SLA adherence and incident resolution performance.
- Improvement in lifecycle discipline across plant and corporate environments.
