IT Support Technician
RSI Logistics, recently acquired by Trinity Industries is hiring an IT Support Technician at our Okemos, MI location. This role will provide IT
T support for Windows 11 laptop and desktop PCs, mobile phones, IP phones, printers and network infrastructure hardware. Additionally the IT Support Tech will work with the IT team and vendors to ensure smooth and secure operation of IT systems and devices.
What you'll do:
- Install, configure, update, and maintain Windows 11 laptop and desktop PCs, mobile phones, IP phones, printers and network infrastructure hardware
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues and escalate complex problems to IT team or vendors
- Provide technical assistance and training to end users on IT systems and devices
- Build a trusted relationship with plant management and communicate IT updates, issues, and solutions
- Demonstrate knowledge of the company's products, processes, and goals and how IT can support them
- Document IT procedures, policies, and best practices
- Travel as needed to other company sites to provide support.
What you'll bring:
- Associate degree or higher in IT, computer science or related field or equivalent work experience, required
- At least 2 years of experience in IT support or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Windows 11 operating system, Microsoft Office 365, mobile phone platforms and applications, IP phone systems and network infrastructure hardware
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
