Lead Welder
TrinityRail is hiring a Lead Welder at our Jonesboro, AR plant.

What You'll Do:
Lead a team by assigning tasks
Use jigs/holding fixtures to lay out pieces to be welded according to blueprints, layouts, schematics or work orders and uses manual/semi-automatic/automatic welding equipment to join, surface, fabricate and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials
Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and perform minor maintenance to equipment
Apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics and sketches using manual, automatic welding and/or semi-automatic welding equipment
· Lay out and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies
· Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools
· Observes all standard safety practices and maintains and completes all required records
· Assist in the completion of all tasks to meet deadlines
· Maintain and improve quality
· Make welds to stainless and carbon steel
· Perform full welds to subassemblies and to the tank
· Hand weld in all positions, fillet and groove
· Perform repairs to subassemblies for final product
· Perform oxy-fuel welding
· Perform carbon arc welding
· Conduct multiple NDE tests
· Follow all safety rules and practices
· Performs as Level 4+ Welder
· Acts as subject matter expert
· Coaches & trains lower level Welders
· Lead team by assigning tasks
· May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
· Perform other duties as assigned
· Minimum of 4-6+ years’ experience
