RSI Logistics, recently acquired by Trinity Industries Inc., is on the lookout for a dynamic and high-performing Logistics Rate Analyst to become an essential part of our corporate office team. If you are a well-organized, detail-oriented individual with a knack for independent work and a passion for logistics, we want you! Your role will be pivotal in bridging the gap between our clients and the rail system, making your service mentality and leadership qualities invaluable. You will be instrumental in driving network improvements while minimizing transportation and operational costs.
- Keep a proactive eye on railroad websites for public tariff structure updates, ensure our database is always current, and effectively communicate changes to clients and internal teams.
- Regularly update and maintain information on railroad fuel surcharge pricing, carbon tax charges, and other assessorial charges.
- Use our railroad costing model, existing rates, and industry insights to provide timely and accurate responses to client rate requests.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with railroad contacts to stay ahead of any changes and relay important information swiftly.
- Utilize RSI’s proprietary systems, RSInet & Rail Command, to give clients full visibility of services performed on their behalf.
What you will need:
- High School Diploma plus 2-4 years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, or a related field preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with numbers
- Above-average skills in analyzing large datasets, identifying trends, and drawing actionable conclusions
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities
- Team player mentality with the initiative to work independently
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
What we offer:
We are currently adopting a Hybrid work environment, expecting two days in the office and three can be remote for those who thrive in a remote environment.
