Trinity Industries is searching for a Mobile Repair Business Summer Intern in Dallas, Texas.
- Utilize the RX Mobile application to create digital billing repair cards in the field
- Leverage Samsara’s dispatch function (GPS tracking) to assist with scheduling and job status communication
- Build a break-even analysis for establishing new Mobile Repair Unit (MRU) locations
- Gain hands-on exposure to mobile repair operations, including mechanical work, welding, non-destructive testing, and valve maintenance
- Apply AI, data tools, and software platforms to improve efficiency and decision-making
- Develop strategic and creative problem-solving skills to support business growth and adaptability
- Focus on customer needs while using modern tools to enhance service delivery
What you'll need:
- Sophomore or Junior pursuing studies in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or similar field
- Mechanical aptitude with interest in welding, non-destructive testing, and valves
- Strong interest in the railcar industry and mobile repair operations
- Willingness to travel and spend the majority of time in a manufacturing/field setting (not an office-based role)
- Ability to adapt to hands-on work environments and learn new technologies
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
