What you'll need:
- High school diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum of three (3) years Outside Sales experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related fields and some sales experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is preferred. An advanced degree will be considered in place of work experience.
- Experience in the Roadway Safety Industry or selling/marketing to Roadway Agencies is preferred
- Experience in quoting and pricing structures is preferred
- Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and order entry systems is preferred
- Excellent verbal communication skills required
- Must possess excellent customer service skills, strong work ethic, be highly organized, and have good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to make oral presentations to groups of people and perform basic math calculations
- Display confidence when handling difficult customers and/or objections
- Attention to detail is critical
- Must possess an ability to understand technical concepts including: drawing interpretation, mechanics related to system functionality, along with mathematical computations
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with customers, state specifying agencies, and company personnel required
- Must have a willingness to seek and accept input from the other Sales Representatives, Directors, and Vice President
- Displays comprehensive knowledge of all THP products as well as competitors’ products
- Ability to understand commodity markets and how they affect the cost of Trinity’s products
- Ability to facilitate activities at local or national trade shows
- Ability and knowledge necessary to get new products approved, specified, and implemented at state DOTs
- Work closely with customer service, product management, production, purchasing, accounting, and credit
