Trinity Industries is hiring a Pricing Analyst in our corporate Dallas, TX office.
This position will report to the Vice President of Pricing and is primarily responsible for supporting the leasing of railcar equipment to various customers.

What you’ll do:
• Calculate lease pricing on new and existing rail car opportunities within defined parameters and to disseminate approved pricing to Sales in a timely manner
• Accurately maintain reporting on orders, their respective margins and lease returns, including trend analysis
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, prices, availability, delivery, etc.
• Manage certain aspects of order placement, including confirmation of pricing terms and potential change analysis pricing
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production Planning and Estimating to quote new railcar assets to meet customer requirements
• Compile and maintain a database of market pricing resulting in transactions and lost order activity
• Collaborate with TrinityRail peers to craft pricing and marketing strategies to develop opportunities for the growth of our business
• Be a strategic problem solver – willing to develop and present recommendations to executive management
• Document and maintain integrity of processes; make recommendations for improvements
• Ad hoc financial analysis for special projects
What you’ll need:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting required (MBA is preferred)
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Financial Analysis experience is preferred
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly grasp sophisticated data sets with an intuitive sense of financial and operational implication
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Qlik highly preferred
• Industry related experience in leasing, operations and / or experience in market specific areas including energy, chemicals, agriculture, construction, metals or consumer products is preferred
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
• Advanced digital literacy with Excel, Word, PowerPoint required
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
