TrinityRail Maintenance is searching for a Process Improvement Summer Intern in Shell Rock, IA.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, supporting quality control initiatives and participating in audit preparations to ensure compliance with AAR, ISO, and third-party standards. If you’re detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about operational excellence, this role is for you.
What you'll do:
- Assist with ongoing railcar maintenance services by supporting quality control initiatives
- Participate in AAR, ISO, and third-party audit preparations to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Review data and distribute reports to maintain transparency and accuracy in quality processes
- Contribute to process optimization and documentation improvements for enhanced efficiency
- Provide a fresh perspective and analytical support for continuous improvement projects
- Collaborate with the Shell Rock team to ensure TrinityRail’s products meet the highest safety and reliability standards
What you'll need:
- Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Quality Management or similar field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interest in manufacturing, logistics, and rail transportation industries
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work in a plant environment and contribute to hands-on projects
