Trinity Rail is searching for a talented leader to fill the open position of Production Superintendent in our Fort Worth, Texas plant! 

In this role, you will establish production plans and technical project objectives to meet the short- and long-term goals of the plant, by setting production lines based on manufacturing schedule while maintaining efficiency, material supply, production quantity, quality, staffing resources and volume required to meet demand.

What You'll Do:

  • Night shift assignment
  • Participate in establishing strategic plans and objective
  • Translate strategies into tactics for implementation of multiple product lines
  • Manage manufacturing and/or production operations including assembly, machinery, and processing
  • Sets production schedules based on schedule, equipment efficiency, materials supply, staffing resources, and volume required to meet demand and to ensure maximum production quantity and quality
  • Oversee day-to-day night operations of the group in a production environment
  • Select, assign, evaluate and instruct, supervisors and/or direct employees in various manufacturing projects
  • Interpret, administer, and execute policies and procedures
  • Make final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures Operations’ effective achievement of objectives
  • Ensure overall budgets, schedules, performance standards
  • Lead /implement process improvements for night crew

What You'll Need:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a production supervisory position in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or similar field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to effectively build and lead a productive work group as well as to perform as a member of the management team
  • Ability to effectively plan work procedures, equipment, material and manpower needs
  • Ability to effectively communicate/interface at all levels, verbal and written, spanning different times of the day
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
