What you’ll need:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5-8 year’s work experience in the public affairs or government relations field 
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in federal and state government relations and lobbying
  • Possesses ethical research and analysis techniques
  • Must be familiar with a wide variety of Public Affairs and Government Relations concepts, processes, practices, and procedures
  • Must be a self-starting and creative team player, who is mission focused and works well individually and in a small team setting
  • Ability to accurately investigate, prepare and develop reports, issue management tools (slides, photos, booklets) in timely, cost effective manner
  • Ability to present a positive image in representing the Company and promoting its brand at conferences, conventions, town hall meetings, etc.  
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with company personnel, elected officials, legislative staff and others within the industry in addition to working cross functionally across multiple internal teams
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%
