What you'll need:
- B.S./M.S. in Mechanical Engineering required
- 5+ years’ of proven engineering experience in procedures, administration, and design, with a strong focus on railcar systems and components
- Demonstrated expertise in railcar design and application of industry best practices, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards
- Comprehensive knowledge of railcar regulations and industry standards (AAR, FRA, and other governing bodies), with practical application in design and production environment
- Hands on experience in structural analysis review for railcar components, ensuring accuracy, safety, and durability in engineering solutions
- Background in large-scale production facilities, with direct exposure in manufacturing processes, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives (prior railcar manufacturing background highly preferred)
- Exceptional communication abilities-skilled in preparing technical documentation, presenting complex concepts clearly, and collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) with ability to create detailed reports, models and presentations
- Ability to multi-task / handle multiple projects of differing scale
