Trinity Rail is hiring a Quality Foreman, Mobile Repair at our Wood River, IL Site.

The Quality Foreman, Mobile Repair position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who doesn’t stray away from a challenge.
What you’ll do:
Manage QA department day-to-day work assignments
Works under the direction of a Department Manager or Superintendent
Set priorities for the team to accomplish department goals
Direct/prepare documentation for Internal and external audits
Administer training and maintain training matrix for plant personnel
Support production with subcontractors, (Ex. B-1’s, Certifications and Training)
Maintain and oversee the preventive maintenance program (Ex. Procedures and Logs)
Develop and control local procedures and forms
Build project & procedure manuals
Participate in corporate and local scheduled meetings (Ex. RCCA, Training, Local Projects)
Conduct periodic process audits (walk-throughs) to ensure good practices remain on track
Track and document tool calibrations
Coordinate and oversee Root Cause & Corrective Actions
Conduct quarterly management reviews
Use statistical methods for process control and continuous improvement
Review SOW and SI’s to ensure work is completed in compliance with FRA, AAR and Customer requirements
Review paperwork to ensure proper documentation
Performs other duties as assigned.
What you'll need:
Considerable knowledge of plant operations.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to build and lead a productive work group
Adept time management skills and the ability to plan, organize daily activities to ensure that schedules are met
3 -5 years’ previous supervisory experience
3 -5 years’ experience in a heavy industrial environment
Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new programs
Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
Working knowledge of FRA, AAR MSRPs and M-1003/1002 requirements
Knowledge of industry-specific tests and testing equipment
Blueprint reading and knowledge of welding
Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record required
