- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business or related field preferred
- 5+ years’ experience performing, managing and coordinating effective fleet maintenance or estimating functions
- Knowledge of the Association of American Railroads (AAR) and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) rules and regulations pertaining to railcar repair/fabrication, maintenance/design, and applicable standards
- Ability to interpret and evaluate engineering drawings and regulatory codes
- Training and/or knowledge in Hazmat, Welding, Railcar Inspection/Repair, Non-Destructive Engineering (NDE) Methodologies required
- Customer-focused, excellent relationship building skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
