Trinity Industries is hiring a Senior Custodian for our Fort Worth, TX parts and components facility!
As a custodian you will Keep building and work areas in a clean and orderly condition performing any combination of duties, including sweeping, mopping, washing, cleaning, and removing trash from building and work areas. Maintain building by performing minor and routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning light fixtures, changing light bulbs, and replacing necessary components. Maintain grounds by mowing, watering, edging lawns, and planting and trimming flowers, shrubs, and trees.
What you'll do:
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, breakrooms, and other common areas
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in the warehouse and other assigned areas
- Operate floor cleaning machines to maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse floor
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in designated areas
- Restock supplies in bathrooms and breakrooms as needed
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on cleaning equipment
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with other cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned.
What you'll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a custodial or janitorial role preferred
- Ability to operate floor cleaning machines and other cleaning equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
