- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) plus a minimum of 5 years relatable work experience;
- Minimum of 3 years rail maintenance or tank car/rail car production leadership experience
- Experience in Lean manufacturing principles
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing others through coaching and mentorship
- Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously
- Strong computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
- Strong AAR, FRA, and DOT knowledge
- Knowledge of safety practices, welding & metal fabrication, & blueprint reading
- Influential and poised communicator with the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships at all levels
- Demonstrate good communication skills both verbal and written; strong interpersonal skills
- Experience preparing and presenting vision and strategy
- Diplomatic and flexible in approaching complex solutions
- Maintains composure in high pressure situations; maintains objectivity and focus
- Possess active listening skills and non-verbal rapport building skills
- Adaptable and open to new ideas
- Actively coaches and mentors employees
- Must possess high ethical standards and honesty
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to travel, as needed
