Trinity Rail is hiring a Senior Quality Inspector, Mobile Repair, at our Wood River, IL plant.

The Senior Quality Inspector, Mobile Repair position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who doesn’t stray away from a challenge.
What You'll Do:
· Performs inspection of tank or freight car assemblies, parts, or material the majority of the time to ensure conformance with standards and determine if product meets all requirements. Performs a variety of standard testing processes on in-process or final products during manufacturing or inspection and records and analyzes results.
· Requires knowledge of industry specific tests and testing equipment.
· May use automated and manual techniques including to perform non-destructive tests to identify errors or defects.
· May be responsible for testing during production and finished products. Follows all safety rules and practices.
· May be involved in safety committees or CI initiatives.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
· For new hires previous work experience and/or certifications may be considered for the corresponding job level position.
· Extensive experience in use of inspection tools and measuring equipment.
· Independently applies and uses quality science.
· Must be certified VT Level II
· May be certified level II in appropriate NDE methods.
· Performs Final Inspection at Multiple hold points and processes.
· Work requires planning and judgment.
· Determines and develops approaches to solve a broad range of complex problems.
· 2-4 years of related experience
· Safely and efficiently performs all essential functions of the job
· Valid Driver’s License, good driving record
