What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • 5+ years of Leadership/Railcar experience
  • Up to 30% of traveling required
  • Strong knowledge of AAR/FRA rules and regulations pertaining to railcar repair/fabrication, maintenance/design, and applicable standards
  • Training and/or knowledge in Hazmat, Welding, Railcar Inspection/Repair, NDE Methodologies, and railcar repair safety
  • Customer-focused, excellent relationship building skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records
  • Ability to interface effectively with shop personnel and customers
  • Experienced with Microsoft office applications including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Occasionally Moderate to heavy lifting 
  • Climbing, ascending, or descending ladders, inside and out of railcar
  • Candidates must be willing to travel and work in required locations
  • Ability to meet DOT requirements to operate CMVs less than 26k GVWR
  • Ability to climb, ascend, or descend ladders to move inside and out of railcars
  • Any type of coatings/mechanical experience or railcar knowledge is a preferred
  • Demonstrate job related computational knowledge — for example, be able to read a gauge, a decal blueprint, or a ruler
  • Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record required
