TrinityRail is seeking a Senior Category Buyer to join our Headquarters in Dallas, TX. This role will focus on indirect procurement with an emphasis on Corporate Spend supporting all Trinity facilities including headquarters, new railcar production, and railcar maintenance facilities. The candidate will manage supplier relationships, negotiate and renew contracts, and drive cost improvements across the organization.

What You'll Do:

  • Support RFPs and contract execution for corporate functions such as Finance, HR, Engineering, Shared Services, and Accounting.
  • Manage corporate purchasing activities both within and outside the ERP system
  • Issuance of Purchase Orders
  • Ensure purchased products and solutions comply with company and regulatory standards, supporting Trinity’s business and production operations
  • Collaborate with corporate business leaders to complete orders, identify new procurement needs, and resolve invoicing and shipment issues
  • Develop processes to resolve invoicing issues in conjunction with AP Team
  • Address supplier discrepancies in price, terms, returns, supply, or quality through renegotiation, Replacement, or credits
  • Collaborate with legal and risk management to drive timely contract execution
  • Generate and maintain supplier partnerships
  • Manage corporate purchasing activities both within and outside the ERP system
  • Supporting corporate vehicle fleet management

What You'll Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, or an equivalent combination of experience
  • 6+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • Experience in Oracle Fusion Procurement preferred
  • Experience in contracting for HR, Engineering and other corporate functions
  • Bilingual skills preferred
  • Continuous improvement experience or mindset
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer literacy with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
  • Experience interfacing with and presenting to Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) members
  • Willingness to travel (10%) to various plant locations across the US
  • Onsite in Dallas, TX
