TrinityRail is searching for a talented team player to fill the open position of Senior Human Resources Generalist at our Jonesboro, AR maintenance facility!

What you'll do:

  • Partner with business leaders for annual initiatives such as compensation planning, performance management, goals, etc.
  • Using HRIS System, assist with the processing of employee changes, promotions, disciplinary action, etc.  Will also use the HRIS System to provide back-up support for the HR Helpdesk
  • Address employee relations issues, work complaints, or other employee questions.   May get involved with employee ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) process
  • Coordinate with employees and managers for leaves of absence, including FMLA, ADA, military leaves, etc.
  • Administer, interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations
  • Monitor and drive completion of employees’ required ethics and compliance coursework
  • Conduct exit interviews and ensure that necessary employment termination processes are completed
  • Conduct orientation for new hire employees and assist with benefits enrollment
    Work with Talent Acquisition in recruiting and screening potential candidates for hourly workforce
  • Help coordinate Plant activities such as Employee luncheons, charity drives, employee recognition events, etc.
  • Will perform project work and other duties as assigned

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a Human Resources role
  • Analytical skills required
  • Ability to handle highly confidential matters in a professional manner
  • Must have general knowledge of HR Management principles and practices
  • Strong experience in MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with ability to tailor communication style for the audience
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize work and meet numerous deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
